Markgraf von Baden
The realization of how successful the combination of history and branding can be: a “message in a bottle” design that showcases 900 years of a family’s history.
Background
VDP. Weingut Markgraf von Baden is one of the top 5 winerys in Baden and among the top 30 in Germany by 2025. With over 9 centuries of tradition, the Markgraf von Baden family plays their role as pioneers of Baden‘s wine culture.
Brief
The design project should showcase the nine century old tradition of the Markgraf von Baden family and their role as pioneers of Baden’s wine culture.
Solution
With the “message in a bottle” concept each bottle is dedicated to a personality of the family, with specially designed stamps. The stamps become a strong part of the brand which makes the house unmistakable and impossible to copy.

Revealing the hidden treasures of 900 years of noble heritage to create a visual identity worthy of the House of Baden’s VDP wines.

After weeks of archival work, we ended with the realization of how successful the combination of history and branding can be. Showcasing the historical figures in their relevance and context.
