Borgio Beer
Mongolia‘s oldest beer gets a passport to the world: Borgio‘s redesign keeps every ounce of its 1927 heritage while finally looking the part of a premium lager. Built for proud locals and curious internationals alike. Same taste, new stage.
Background
Borgio is Mongolia‘s first beer brand, a malty pale lager brewed since 1927. For decades it‘s been the country‘s most trusted feel-good beer, but its design hadn‘t kept pace with its premium ambitions.
Brief
Modernize the look without losing the legacy. Update the logo, typography and packaging for a premium, inter-nationally appealing identity while keeping the Falcon, the blue-and-white color world, and the authentic taste that built the brand‘s trust over nearly a century.
Solution
We rebalanced the entire color story, trading heavy blue for white and gold and instantly shifting the label from “everyday lager” to “premium choice.” Refined typography, a recolored Falcon, and elegant gold detailing replace the old shine-and-shout aesthetic with something that feels crafted, not just printed.

Premium and authentic don‘t have to compete. We combined a minimalist, high-contrast system for instant shelf recognition with subtle craftsmanship details such as fine line work, golden wheat motifs and refined finis-hes that whisper „this beer has history“ without ever shouting it.

Turns out …
… premium was never about reinventing Borgio, it was about rebalancing it. Less blue, more gold, sharper typography: small shifts that moved a nearly 100-year-old beer from „everyday“ to „elevated”.
